Reschenthaler Announces Military Academy Nominations
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Chief Deputy Whip Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) announced 18 military academy nominations for Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District. The U.S. service academies students are nominated to are the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Naval Academy.
“Serving in the U.S. Navy equipped me with the confidence, skills, and determination to achieve the impossible and make America a better place,” said Reschenthaler. “I am honored to see 18 young students from Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District also aspire to serve our nation. As these individuals seek to pursue their next life chapter at one of our esteemed service academies, I congratulate them on their nominations and wish them the best.”
Upon receiving this nomination, these constituents will look to meet the admission requirements of their service academy, which will make the final decision on admission in the early months of 2024. Each student who attends a service academy will make a commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
