Reschenthaler Statement on Leaked Draft U.S. Supreme Court Opinion
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14) released the following statement regarding the unprecedented leaked draft U.S. Supreme Court opinion:
“As a former district judge and U.S. Navy JAG Corps attorney, I am appalled by this unprecedented leak from inside our nation’s highest court. It is an attack on the rule of law, the constitution, and the independence of the Supreme Court, coordinated by the left to create a political firestorm to harass and intimidate Supreme Court justices.
I am strongly committed to protecting the unborn and defending the sanctity of life, and I urge the Court to release its final opinion expeditiously. The Court must also thoroughly investigate this despicable leak to preserve its institutional integrity and independence.”
