Reschenthaler Receives Friend of Farm Bureau Award

WASHINGTON. D.C. – Representative Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14) received the American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) “Friend of Farm Bureau” award for his legislative efforts and advocacy on behalf of Pennsylvania’s farmers, ranchers, and agricultural communities.

“I am honored to receive the American Farm Bureau’s “Friend of Farm Bureau” award,” said Rep. Reschenthaler. “Agriculture is a critical component of America’s heritage and economy. I remain committed to promoting commonsense policies in Congress to support Pennsylvania’s farmers and ensure they have the ability to produce the food and fiber that fuels our nation.”

“On behalf of Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, the state’s largest general farm organization, we’d like to thank U.S. Representative Guy Reschenthaler for supporting legislation that benefits agriculture,” said PFB President Rick Ebert. “The support from our Friend of Farm Bureau recipients helps preserve the future of family farms in Pennsylvania, maintain our ability to produce safe and affordable food for consumers, and provide resources to assist farmers in implementing environmentally friendly practices on the farm. Farm families have been greatly challenged in recent years, and continued support for agriculture is vital to ensure the future success of our industry.”

Rep. Reschenthaler was nominated for AFBF’s “Friend of Farm Bureau” award by the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and approved by the AFBF Board of Directors. Rep. Reschenthaler received the award during a farmers’ town hall in New Stanton, Pennsylvania.
